I'm wondering wether I should have the swine flu vaccine.
I stopped having flu vaccines years ago because I'd get vaccinated in October and be ill with constant colds until May. My doctor said that the vaccine couldn't make me ill but it could, perhaps, be compromising my immune system.
I'm beginning to wonder if I have an immune system to compromise, having had a chest infection every 6 weeks for 3 years now.
I'm taking lots of atlternative therapies to enhance my immune system; Noni Juice, B vits, Aloe Vera, St. Johns Wort (is antibacterial and anti viral) and Acidophilus Plus daily.
Kissing as a form of greeting is definately off my list from now on. Colds, flue, cold sores, menigitus, hepatius B and glandular fever can all be passed from one person to another by snogging and being sneezed on, I just read in the Times Online.
People sneeze into their hands or get infected mucus on them from door knobs or escalator hand rails for example and then pass on the viruses via a polite hand shake with you. As soon as you touch your eyes, nose or mouth the infection is in.Frequent hand washing has to be a must at this time of Swine Flu.
Fear of illness is not a place I want my mind to go to but with all the scary news about, I'm having a hard time feeling invincible.

My cousin visited me this morning. I really enjoy visits from my family, perhaps I should indulge more.
Our conversation led us to a discussion about how ridiculous it is for family members not to speak to each other for whatever reason. We talked about experiences of people we have known who find themselves at funerals of people they haven't spoken to for years and the ridiculousness of that.
My cousin was a paratrouper in his army days and the fragility of life is evident all around him as the Afghanistan war continues and his circle of aquaintences diminishes.
So where am I going with this?
Whilst kitty sitting at my sister's house for the past two weeks, I have been indulging in all things Loose Women. For our foreign readers Loose Women is an afternoon chat show on TV (feel free to google). The other day the chat centred around the Afghanistan war and the reasons for it, not many people, myself included, really knew what it was all about or why our troops are there.
My heart went out to the young men losing their lives or being injured and I wished that there was something I could do.
I usually get what I wish for.....my cousin had a pocket full of wrist bands for sale for what I think is a wonderful charity, the cost was £2, such a small amount and for such a good cause;
collects money to help our injured service men for example The Edinburgh Hero House, to be named after Mark Wright GC,will be staffed and populated by the army. Housing 12 wounded soldiers it will act as the pathfinder as they learn to provide the very best for our blokes.
If you too would like to help in some small way, please take a look at the website and its shop.

Testing, Testing, Testing.
I could not get my writing the way I wanted it on my last post.
Hmmm. Will have to learn all about Blogland all over again. What fun!

Good morning everyone.
Thanks to Miramaze 'missing me' in Blogland, I find myself here once again.
What to write about,I wonder? "Just write about your life." my inner voice replies. I must admit, your lives and what they are like and how they differ from mine, is what I am interested in.
So here goes: My morning begins, usually, with a barrage of negative thoughts. As I become aware of my negative thought pattern, I realise that I am awake and another day has begun. As quickly as possible I engage with the Holy Spirit, My Higher Self, The Universe, whatever you want to call That which is bigger than us and knows everything and I perform a short meditation where I connect with Earth, connect with the Light of Heaven, open the doorway to my heart and letting the darkness from the earth and the lightness from Heaven mingle into a blazing ball of light, I visualise that expanding out into infinity, taking me (my Inner Being) with it. Hovering in the peace of Infinity, I visualise the alter of God and I deposit there, my negative thoughts, judgements, hatreds, jealousies, insecurities; basically any fear thoughts and I leave them for God's Holy Spirit to deal with.
Next on my morning agenda is Morning Pages; writing a flow of consciousness for 20 minutes (there are some books in there I can tell you).
Following on from that is a 15 minute period on my Chi Machine www.surgeofchi.com I drink plenty of water before and after this to help with detoxification.
Next, I feed the wild birds, mostly wood pigeons and collar doves.
Then breakfast, today I'm having wheat free pitta bread and humous with a glass of grapefruit juice.
I usually write for two hours in the morning, in preparation for the two books I hope to have published. However, for one more week, three in all, I will go to my sister's house for two hours and play with her kitten who is too young to spend all day on her own while my sister is at work. Soon my sis will finish school for the long summer holidays and by the time she returns to work in September, Lily the kitten will be out and about having a lovely time.
There you have it, a typical morning in the life of Oz.
I will provide some photos later in the week.
Have a positive day. If your thoughts are negative, choose to change them.
