I am terrified of spiders.
The fear of sleeping in my bedroom with that thing on the loose was so much stronger than my fear of hunting it down.
I prepared: trainers on, trousers tucked into socks, hair tied back, pint glass and piece of cardboard.
Prayer to the spider angels: "Let me catch him quickly and without harm to either of us."
I moved my meditation stool out of the corner and there he was. This in itself was a miracle cos it was the first place I looked yet it was 3 hours after the first sighting (I'd been too scared to go in there before).
Plopping the glass over him, I sat on the bed to wait for my heart to stop pounding and my body to stop shuddering.
I slid a piece of card gently under the glass, praying all the time that he didn't escape and run up my arm *shudder*
Leaving him there,; trapped, I made my way downstairs to open the front door and the gate.
Retrieving him and getting as far as the front door, I realised the photo opportunity and fetched my camera.
He said "bluebottle" and then I let him go, as far away as pos, on the other side of the road.
*gulp* I hope he didn't have a wife and kids!!!-
P.S. Don't think it's poisonous, think it's a wolfspider

I feel great thanks, my down to earth Taurean friend has arrived and we are sharing a bottle of very palatable red (hic!)while I relayed the drama by showing her my blog.
She thinks I'm a drama queen (she picks spiders up in her hand!!!!)
