SCAM.....Frostwire/Limewire

Ooooooooh silly Ozzzy has been scammed
AND had two naughty viruses put on the computer.

It happened while I was trying to buy FROSTWIRE online so that I could download music.
I paid £32 on my credit card for lifetime membership.....
a company called MP3MusicHQ.com took £68.73.....
on the receipt they sent me it said my credit card would show a charge from HELPMEDOWNLOAD.COM.
.....they also downloaded a toolbar, that I didn't tick the box for, onto my server site.

I tried to download some music and couldn't get the thing to work.....
so I surfed about looking for some instructions and came across a blogg with loads of people talking about Frostwire scammers taking loadsa money outa their bank, more if you use a debit rather than a credit card because then they take $9.99 every month as well as the so called one time charge.

Some people have got their money back with persistence but the company wants to charge them $9.99 for processing fee.

apparently the official website for FROSTWIRE is www.frostwire.com
I thought I was on the official site.
The people who took my money were MP3 Music HQ.Com

scamming companies include:
- MP3 Music HQ.Com (as above)
- http://freefrostwiredownload.com<FRAUD of the worst kind!!!
- Number One MusicInc with their site Free-FrostWire.com
- click-new-download.com (which shows a cheap copy of the LimeWire.com website to appear legitimate)
FrostWire is not associated with them, in any way says the blog.
ALL LimeWire and FrostWire downloads are FREE.....NEVER, EVER PAY!!!!

I've been onto the credit card fraud squad and I've got some phone numbers.....

what a pain in the.....

  Actually, I didn't find the experience painful. I was simply interested in how come I am attracting 'scam' energy because it is the second time in as many weeks;
  
  I paid a lot of money for an outfit for my ordination ceremony in August and when I got it home, another suit was in the suitcover; a cheaper fabric, poorly made copy that was too big for me. I had to assert myself there for a refund also. strange goings on.....

    Hm, hm, "how come you are attracting scam energy..." Maybe the message is "get up, stand up, stand up for your rights"? Interesting, yes...
    
    I am glad you are happy! I am... well, interesting... Insights abound
    A couple of weeks ago I did a two-day course which was originally called simply Life-Death-Life but a number of people found this name a bit too straightforward so the name was changed into "To live a full and conscious life, without fearing death". Personally, I liked the first name better - more to the point
    
    Some insights (rather useful, too) came from there. Some from... herons (I posted this one). I might post my impressions about the course, too, but am waiting for the inspiration (I am a bit vague at the moment). Wait, I'll write you a letter.

The best thing is that now, the new version, FrostWire 4.17.2 [http://www.rosoftdownload.com/download/Windows/FrostWire], works for Windows Vista without any major problem. And, ofcourse, let's not forget that it is free.

"For one, you need a little bit of levity in this job, especially with so much that has gone on in the last couple of months that has been so political obviously that it's nice to get out and do something to promote local business and to just participate in something that isn't so heavy-handed politics that it invites criticism. Hi, thanks for sharing a list of such scammers who deliberately took the money from such innocent people. There should be development of some technique which can easily detect such scammers.

i too have had money stolen from my account from helpmedownload.com.i authorised a one off lifetime payment of
£32 to frostwire.when i checked my bank a company calling itself
helpmedownload.com had stolen £62.71.i have since found that
frostwire is free and i had been scammed.i have sice cancelled my debit card as they are known to keep taking money monthly
once they get their thieving hands on your number.
